Sunrise Safari - May 19

Sunrise Safari May 19

Brent is our guide on this still quite dark morning and he has Dave with him on Camera.
Sam is with Jeandre on the other vehicle and we have Stefan with Wiam doing a bush walk this morning.

There are lots of Hyena tracks but no tracks of karula

Over to Sam who has come across a large male Elephant with a floppy ear

The Elephant decides to have a mighty good scratch on this tree.

Sam decided to check out the southern Hyena Den and it has paid off. We see the youngsters

Over to Brent for a quick moment as he shows us a herd of Buffalo moving into Kruger.

Over to Stefan who shows us the False Marulla Tree. It is a hardy tree. Used to Fence posts.  If you planted the branch, it had an uncanny ability to regrow leaves and roots and grow into another tree.

Quick over to Brent! He has had reports of Inkanyeni moving towards him on the boundary line and heading into Kruger.
We see her with her cubs

Brent is BEYOND EXCITED!

Sam comes across some Impala.
The male is so consumes with herding his females to mate with that he rarely stops to browse or groom and he is in a greater danger from predators due to his lack of paying attention.
