We start with Brent and Bryan in one vehicle and if I heard Brent correctly, Stefan is in the other vehicle with Dave on Camera.
Kirsten and Chelsea are in Final Control.
After the drive last night the Nkahuma Lions tried to catch a Buffalo at the Djuma Dam. Brent, Chelsea and Conner went out on vehicle and sat in the dark listening. The Lions were unsuccessful with this hunt.
Over to Stefan after a long absence in the drivers seat.
Looks like we might have some Gremlins (tech problems)
James has been given a morning off as he has been working many hours as of late especially his hours in the tent.
Stefan is going to be assisting Brent today.
Over to Brent
ooops. Brent was turning and got his leg caught in the steering wheel. no problem.
He is looking for the Nkahumas.
Female Hippo and its calf coming out of the water at Buffleshoek Dam.
Hippo and baby coming out of the water
The Hippo and her baby are coming out to either feed or to walk to a deeper waterhole. They can travel large distances to find deeper water.
We also see a Yellow Billed Hornbill
Back over to Stefan
We see a Male Steenbok. They are monogamous. They pair up and stay together. If one dies, then the other will get another partner the following season.
Brent finally got the information a lot of us sent to Final Control telling them that the Nkahuma Females were at the Djuma waterhole around 11 p.m and then Alarm calls around 1:00 a.m and sounds of Buffalo. I am sure that Final Control gets hundreds an hundreds of messages to sort through each morning.
Stefan is driving slowly looking at the Junctions. When the roads were first put into this area, they were put on game paths. As ecotourism came in many years later, these roads are still in place.
Stefan talking about the hand made pottery jar that was partially exposed in a Termite Mound last Saturday when he was doing a Bush Walk.
It had 4-5 lines of pattern carved into it. It could have been a burial pot. It would have been filled with Beer and buried. Herbert suggests that Stefan looks into the families who lived in this area in the 1800's. They were contacted. The Landowner and the Family descendants are going to go to the site and decide from there what will be done with it. If it is a burial pot, it will remain there always, but if it is a treasure pot, then they most likely would remove it.
Kudo. A beautiful Female and a 3 year old Male
Beautiful soft faces and milky lips is how Stefan describes the Female Kudu.
Over to Brent for an update
He has exciting news.
He got a report of something down on Cheetah Plains.
He wants us to guess.
Brent will most likely lose signal for a few minutes in the troughs and dips so lets go over to Stefan
Stefan calls then signal shadows
Go Away Bird (Grey Lourie) up in the tree and rarely sits still.
A cold front moved in yesterday. The remnants are still here.
The crests of the Grey Lourie are very erect and upright. They usually eat fruits and berries, nuts and seeds.
Grey Lourie and The Cold Front
Stefan prefers the walks. He likes driving as well but his strong interest is in the smaller things. like spiders, caterpillars and what lives inside bushes.
Lets hop over to Brent and see what our surprise is.
Do you all know this beautiful boy is?
YES! It is Quarantine! (Karula's Son)

More information about Quarantine
Over to Stefan
Little Steenbok which ran quickly away.
Enormous Kudu
5-6 year old adult
Main predator of the Male Kudu would be a Male or Female Lion. Leopards would kill smaller Kudu. Kudo's are browsers.
Over to Brent who has not moved a muscle and is with Quarantine.
Quarantine is nestled in a hollow in the Termite Mound and is protected nicely from the wind and looks quite comfortable.
Leopards are the colour they are with rosette type spots in order to break up their line and blend in.
See how quickly you can pick Quarantine out with this wide pan picture.
Back over to Stefan while we wait for Quarantine to wake up.
African Elephants

Over to Brent. He is talking to a classroom of Children on our live drive this morning.
Since Quarantine is still sleeping, Brent is going to show them some Elephants who sort of snuck up on us.
Brent is back with our Sleeping Quarantine (Male Leopard)
Quarantine on top of the Termite Mound with Brent close by.
Quarantine is considering waking up.
Quarantine quickly moved his head as if he had heard something.
Over to Stefan with a Male Impala who is blind in one eye. Most likely from rutting.
Also a Warthog
Back with Brent and Quarantine and it looks like Quarantine has gone back to sleep.
Brent is off to locate some other animals.
He is coming up to some Wildebeest.
It is Gnormous Gnornam The Gnu
Over to Stefan
Large Ellie is who eating munching on a Buffalo Thorn.

Naughty Elephant With Stefan
Over to Brent who is with Quarantine
A couple of nice large yawns
All of a sudden, Quarantine jumps up and down from the back of the Termite Mound. He is sticking his tongue out distastefully. Perhaps he licked his fur and got stung by a scorpion or a termite.
Quarantine Gets Bit By A Soldier Termite
Quarantine has decided to climb back up to the top of his Termite Mound to view over the landscape and decide his plan for the day.
Over to Stefan
He is talking about Karula and where she might be. She may just be moving into this area because there is more game here for her to hunt.
ooops
Gremlin attacks
Back with Quarantine for the last 2 minutes of the drive.
