Sunrise Safari- July 28, 2016

Jamie is rushing because the lions are running away. Herbert is in the back said.. we are gonna get killed and laughing (by her driving- not the lions)

All 5 Nkahumas all together. Jamie is racing!!
They are in the brush and on the move.

Nice Chin Spotted Batis with Brent

Little bachelor group of kudus

Jamie was doing the ferrari safari after wild dogs. had them, followed them briefly and then because there were so many other guide vehicles there looking as well, all of a sudden we backed off and left.

Not sure who was running the sighting.

Brent is searching for tracks of karula. since the rain, the ground is quite hard which is  making tracking difficult

With Jamie.  Hubert is on foot and tracking the lions.
he pops over to the vehicle with a report and a quick hello

Impala with Jamie
one impala has an Ox pecker riding along and keeping ticks and mites off of the Impala

Over to Brent with a Fork Tailed Drongo

Fork Tailed Drongo

And a Lilac Breasted Roller

Nice little Family of Mongoose with Jamie

Brent shows us a branch that has swellings on it

Ants or wasps bite the tree which creates a bulb on the branch
Brent opens it up

Ants have laid their eggs inside the growth.
Woodpeckers poke open these growths to eat the baby ants

Full Length 3 Hour Sunrise Drive
