Over to Jamie
The cubs are further into the drainage line now and out of view. Karula is still eating.
Jamie will be moving off and other vehicles are anxious to get a view of Karula and her babies so she will be pulling out and moving on.
Over to James as he discusses how fertile Termite mounds are.
He is heading down the middle of the reserve.
Over to Jamie who has now moved away and is driving along.
Young Elephant Bull
Over to James who is still driving along. There is a Lion calling on Buffleshoek. We cant actually go there but there could be another one calling back.
James sees some Elephants as well.
When the Kruger park began in 1926, there were approximately 11 Elephants. They had literally been poached out by settlers.
Over to Jamie. The wind has really picked up and it is quite blustery. Jamie says she has a surprise for us.
Quick back to James..
It is SHADOW!
Just a quick 2 seconds with her. She is Karula's 9 year old daughter but is on Hoffman Property where we are not allowed to go into.
Quick Glimpse of Shadow
Over to Jamie who is revealing her surprise for us.
2 Lionesses on a Buffalo Kill.
2 Nkahuma Lioness's On A Buffalo Kill
These are Nkahuma Females
The Lioness's have not yet consumed a lot of the kill so most likely this kill is less then 2 hours old.
Both Lionesses are together eating now
One Lioness decides to have a nap while cuddling her Buffalo kill
Closeup of Lioness on the Buffalo Kill
This Lioness has now decided to lay on top of the Buffalo's legs.
Over to James who is at the Arathusa Airstrip
We see 2 Impala who are halfheartedly having a sparring match for dominance.
Impala sparring
Back over to Jamie where we see both Lionesses both actively eating the cavity of the Buffalo
As it is become dim as the light of the day fades(even though it was a cloudy afternoon), James has his spotlight out .
Over to Jamie who also has her spotlight out
A hyena has now shown up on the scene.
Only 1 Hyena who will not be a threat to the lionesses.
Last View Of Nkahuma Lionesses
