R.I.P Scrapper One of the fine Birmingham Boys

As we browse past photos of Scrapper, one of the most magnificent of the 5 Birmingham Boys, we remember him being true to his name as being indeed a scrapper and a lion who was strong of body and of mind. He served his coalition well and will always be remembered by his many fans.

The following photos were given to me with permission from Chene-Wales-Baillie and I thank her kindly for allowing me to share these photos as we remember this fine male lion and the impact his life had on all of ours.

The following Video has been shared from Facebook and credit should be given to Pat Willemsen for this post.  This video is with James Hendry as he receives the news on the game drive. I am sure all members who were watching live were disheartened and saddened by this loss. As most of you know, Scrapper had been battling some health problems recently and had lost some weight. At the time of his death there were no visible causes noted.

The Sabi-Sand officials have been notified and most likely a necropsy will be performed. Should we receive an official cause of death, we will pass it on to everyone.
