We say Good Morning to Brent and Jeandre on this coldest morning so far.
The Valleys are filled to the brim with mist.
Jamie has a flat tire so she will be delayed but she has plans to visit the Hyena Den once her Tire has been changed.
Elephants come strolling across the road in front of us.

Elephant Kisses
Over to Jamie and she tells us she had 2 FLAT TIRES!
She is at the Hyena den and 2 cubs have peeked out to welcome the morning
And then as quick as they popped out, they decided it was much too early to be up and they both quickly went back in their den.
Jamie cannot get over how smelly the den area has become. She wonders if they brought back part of a carcass.
Update from Game Drive: Nkahumas did manage to catch a Buffalo yesterday but they are just outside of our traverse area but Jamie is going to the gate as she might be able to get a visual from there.
Tingana has a kill in Torchwood.
Brent is on his way to Cheetah Plains and Stefan will be doing a bush walk this morning.
Jamie has lost signal so we pop over to Stefan with Wiam on Camera.
We see a magical sunrise with Stefan with the mist everywhere.
Awesome Morning With Stefan
Over to Jamie and she tells us that the Nkahuma Lioness is having a drink at Sydneys Dam. We cannot cross over to where this lioness is. She has a very full belly.
We now focus on a Burchell's Starling which is closer to us then the lioness will be.
Back over to Stefan
He shows us an Apple Leaf Tree and a Silver Cluster Leaf Tree (Both species are protected)

But WAIT! This video below will BLOW YOUR MIND!
This Will Blow Your Mind
We are now entering the wide open area of Cheetah Plains with Brent and this is a photographers dream.
A lone female Giraffe sauntering slowly with swirls of mist.
Brent had his camera out as well and was clicking clicking clicking
This Next Video With Brent NEEDS NO EXPLANATION! Just Wait for IT!!
This is definitely one of the Birmingham Boys slightly muddy.
What was added to this amazing sighting is that Andrew (Cheetah Plains Guide) was also sitting near us watching and taking photos of the Giraffe while this amazing Lion walked towards us.
Over to Jamie while Brent re-positions.
Jamie says something has upset the Impalas terribly.
They are jumpy and appear hyper alert.
Quickly back over with Brent and the Birmingham Boy.
The lion has changed directions of his walk twice now and Brent said he didn't read his script and that this Lion is not listening to him.
Male Lions Are Not Slouchers In The Hunting Department
The Birmingham Male is moving into a thicker area. Very thick block and is moving into the Northern edge or our traverse area on Cheetah Plains
Over to Jamie
She cannot figure out what has alerted the Impala to alarm call like they were. There are lots of Hornbills in the nearby tree and they are not alarm calling which Jamie said is quite telling. The Impala's have no quieted down
Back over to Brent
The Birmingham Boy is still heading north stopping every so often to scent mark. He has already walked quite a distance having come from Mala Mala.
Over to Stefan who is surrounded in the brush by 20-30 Elephants. He is being very quiet and speaking so softly. There is quite a steep embankment between Stefan and the Elephants which is a good thing.
He is making sure he doesn't get outflanked by these Elephants.
Elephants with Stefan. Shhhhhh!!
We hop back over with Brent who still has the Birmingham Boy.
The birmingham Boy has a bite mark. Probably from one of his coalition members.
Brent says 2 definate Canine punctures. Superficial and nothing to worry about. Looks to be a couple of days old.

Low Contact Call from Birmingham Male
Brent says it is a forlorn call saying "Where has everyone gone?"
How Far Does A Lion's Call Travel
Brent tells us a story about a Lion and his parents. His Mom was ranked 4th in the world as a tennis player. She met a long hair Zambian and she married him. Below is Brent's Story and we all know he can tell stories so well so its worth watching this video
Brent Tells The Story Of His Parents And A Lion
And our Birmingham Boy is headed into Nkorho but we have had an amazing time with him.
Over to Jamie. She has heard a different Lion calling not too far from Treehouse Dam. Stefan is also following it up.
The first thing Jamie did was to make sure that Stefan was no longer on foot with those Elephants. Jamie didnt want the Elephants to get startled by her appearance in the area.
We now see the Elephants and there is a tiny tiny baby only a couple of days old.
was difficult to get good screen shots as there was a young male who was very curious .
The video is good though and Jamie is overcome by its cuteness

Over to Jamie who gives us a fleeting glimpse of a Dwarf Mongoose
Jamie has noticed a bearded woodpecker in the deep foliage. she is so enthralled by it that even though she said she would reposition so Dave could get it on camera she forgot. So I have a couple of screen shots if you can even make it out
Back over to Brent
Zebras!
And as Brent repositions here comes Gnormous Gnorman The Gnu and he has some ladies with him
Back to the Zebras and there is a fluffy little baby zebra.
Cute Little Baby Zebra
Over to Jamie.
We see a male Waterbuk who is standing so completely still he is like a statue.
Jamie says he is frozen in a moment of indecision
The Male Waterbuk is the Emblem of the Sabi Sands.
Back over to Brent who has done his magic and gets us one last look at the Birmingham Boy who is fast asleep enjoying the morning sun.
Brent is still on a winning streak with bird sightings this week and shows us a Magpie Shrike
Cute Magpie Shrike
Brent says as soon as the drive is over he is going back to camp, making a coffee and he is going to bask in the sun.
Look! Now he has found a Lilac Breasted Roller
Over to Jamie who is back with the Elephant herd we were with earlier.
Jamie says goodbye for the morning so we hop back over to Brent who has a 30 year old Male Elephant who is not the most relaxed. Brent thinks he has most likely come in from Kruger and isn't used to the vehicles.
He is flapping his ears (The Elephant... not Brent) as Brent puts it. (putting on the A.C)
