We start off this chilly morning sunrise with Brent as our guide and he has Wiam with him on Camera.
First think Brent notices is a Side Striped Jackal all curled up to keep warm
Over to Jamie who has Jeandre on camera with her.
Jamie is driving and talking about how she can see her breath because of the cold
Over to Brent. He has done a loop around Sydney's waterhole and nothing is going on there yet.
He is heading over to Karula's Impala Kill.
Brent is now at the place where Karula had her kill. Brent doesn't see anything
Brent Looking For Karula's Impala Kill
Perhaps she put it in a tree because there is no sign of the carcass.
Over to Jamie.
Umm... A Hyena in a tree? Really?
See Video. (I love Jamie)
We see a little Ellie with a little attitude. Jamie called it an intimidation dance.
Quick! Over to Brent
It looks like A LOT HAPPENED here last night! (Place where Karula was with her Impala Kill)
There was a drag mark
Lions were here last night.
The lions followed the drag mark
He hasn't seen any dead cubs
There are Hyena tracks as well
Also a Male Leopard Track
A LOT HAPPENED HERE LAST NIGHT VIDEO
A single leg from the carcass remains where it fell suspended in a branch in a Marulla tree.
While Brent continues to figure out this scene, we pop over to Jamie
Jamie saw tracks. Lion tracks moving into Torchwood. Female and Male Lion tracks.
Not sure if it is Junior or one of the Birmingham Boys.
Kudu enjoying breakfast.
A guide from one of the lodges radioed to Jamie and is going into Torchwood to follow up on the Lion tracks.
We see a beautiful Emerald Spotted Wood Dove.
Local culture believes these birds are bad luck and one shouldn't listen to their entire call.
Over to Brent.
He is sitting down on the ground. He is putting together the mayhem that happened here last night.
Brent Deciphers What Happened
Brent sees Karula's tracks leading away from the scene. He also confirms both cub tracks with her. He shows us Karula's track and a little boy cub track and a little girl cub track.
The tracks are heading South. He hopes Karula stops around Tree House Dam.
There appear to be Gremlins (Tech issues) in both vehicles says Brent so he tells us they are switching feed over to the dam cam for a few minutes while they sort it out
And now the cam screen has froze
We get the tech issues screen on you tube.
After considerable time, we are back with Jamie.
She has heard from Torch Wood that the Male Lion who was spotted on the Djuma waterhole cam early this morning has now split from the female Nkahuma Females
( I captured this scene from the cam and it is here on a page called Djuma Waterhole Cam Videos which is a Brand new page that I have just added last night)
The Nkahuma Pride walked approximately 5 Kilometers in less then 2 hours.
Jamie comes across a young Female Giraffe and a large Bull Giraffe
A viewer asks how animals who eat vegetation get their protein?
Jamie explains this extremely well in this next video clip
Animal Digestion
We get some great close up shots and can even see the Giraffe's teeth.

Over to Brent. There has been a Leopard spotted in Arathusa. Brent is changing microphones as his is faulty so back over to Jamie
She is sitting very close to this Vervet Monkey.
Jamie says Primates have some expressive eyebrows
Vervet Monkey
It is like a highway here where Jamie is parked. First one animal crossed, then another, and then another.

And then he disappears into the block
Brent is on Arathusa and there is a Leopard there with a kill.
It is Mr. Anderson (A very large Male) but it is out of our traverse area so there will be no visual
Brent shows a viewer the google maps of where Safari Live Broadcasts from
Just Where ARE WE
We see a couple of Yellow Billed Hornbills
She had a slender Mongoose but it ran away.
Hard to get a slender Mongoose on camera
White Crested Helmet Shrikes
White Crested Helmet Shrikes With Baby Being Fed
We come across a lone male Impala who is loudly advertising himself to the females that he is available.
Jamie is laughing and says she cant them take them seriously with the sounds they make
Jamie can't Take This Male Impala Seriously Video
Over to Brent who has found some Warthogs.
Warthog Video
Brent finishes off this sunrise safari right back at his starting point and the same Side Striped Jackal is still keeping himself warm and as added a friend as well.
Over to Jamie to say goodbye. She also wants to apologize on behalf of all of the crew for all of the technical difficulties and that they appreciate us sticking with them.
That concludes our Sunrise Safari this morning
